step 1

Choose your Membership

By becoming a ContentDepot interconnected station, you’ll be able to subscribe to public radio programs and receive them via satellite or the Internet. With only a simple, one-time subscription setup, daily and weekly programs will be delivered automatically to your station (internet delivery does not include live programs, as those can only be delivered via satellite).

As a satellite interconnected station, you’ll have access to thousands of hours of live and pre-recorded broadcast content. By using our one-time subscription setup process, both types of programming will be transmitted to your station automatically.

If live programming isn’t a must for your station’s broadcast schedule, consider becoming an internet-access station. You can use the ContentDepot to request automatic internet delivery of pre-recorded programming directly to your station’s FTP server.

step 2

Complete the Registration

To become a ContentDepot interconnected station, you must:

  1. Sign an Agreement – Stations and other public telecommunications entities are required to sign an interconnection agreement.
  2. Pay an Annual Fee – Interconnected stations share financial responsibility for operating and maintaining ContentDepot. Internet-access stations pay an annual fee equal to one half of the fee paid by satellite interconnected stations.

step 3

Necessary Equipment

Each station’s equipment requirements will be different, so please contact the NPR Distribution Support Team at 800.971.7677 or by email at prsshelp@npr.org for more information.

New internet-access stations will require an internet connection and an FTP server to receive content.
